Podcast Episode 4 Josh Pabst

Great conversation with Josh Pabst from Chicago. We talk about color a lot in this episode.

On this week’s podcast I have the pleasure to interview yet another film maker from Chicago.

From Obviouschild Productions I have Josh Pabst who is a regular on the Vimeo site where I like to hang out and learn and share with others.

Josh has been kind enough to share his tips and tests with others, so it is my pleasure to introduce Josh.

Check out the podcast below or you can subscribe on ITunes by searching for “Learning DSLR Video” and listen to it however you like.

Give it a listen I am sure you will pick up some thing new from it, I know I always do.

Here are the questions I asked:

For those who don’t know about you can you explain a little bit about your background and your production company?

What camera are you currently using and what are your thoughts on the camera (pros and cons). What lens do like using and why?

What are you doing for audio on your T2i?

I really enjoyed one of your latest videos call Architetural Videography – draft. I really like how you colored it in some of the clips. Can you take me through the picture style used when shooting and how you went about coloring it?

You did a nice color test video a while back where you had some thoughts on using the super-flat settings to increase dynamic range. Can you share what the test was about and your conclusions on if the dynamic range was actually increased?

I enjoyed your dolly video, can you explain how you built it. What type of surfaces does it work well on? Do you use it for a lot of your work?
