I try watch as many photography courses as I can.
Disclaimer: Michael Andrew gave me free access to watch his new Lighting Crash Course for free.
I have known Michael Andrew for a few years now, (I had him on my podcast) Michael provides photography training on many Canon cameras, one of them I watched years ago was on the Canon T2i.
Michael was kind enough to give me access to his new Lighting Crash Course which is almost 4 hours long. I need to learn as much about light as I can so I jumped at the opportunity.
Michael has a different way of teaching than I do, but I like his style because he goes nice and slow and doesn’t rush through each topic.
This is a course on photography and not on video, but if you are like me, you like to take photos with your DSLR as much as shooting video so that is why I am talking about it here. I try watch as many photography courses as I can because as I get better at photography, I get better at video at the same time.
To get an idea of what his course is like check out one of his free videos from his course.
The first hour or so of the course is my favorite because he gets very technical and scientific. My favorite part was how he explained how a polarizer works using all sorts of props from ropes to custom made PVC grids. I would recommend this course if you want to learn more about light especially on the scientific side.
If you don’t buy his course you should at least subscribe to Michael’s YouTube channel for the free videos he does. I know I always pick up something from his videos.
