Here are some of the questions I asked him:

First off can you tell everyone a little bit about your background and what Orange Wedding is all about.

Your video comparing the 7d to the t2i has been watch over 42k times. I hear you get tons of questions everyday of people asking you which is better for them the 7d or t2i, can you share what you tell them?

Even though I will never do a wedding video I find it fascinating because I think wedding videographers are the ones really pushing the whole DSLR movement since that is where the money is. I’m curious what type of people hire a videographer?
What percentage of weddings use one now?
What is it like shooting video along side a photographer and do you each fight over lighting issues?

Q. I need help on lens. I have a 50mm prime and I want to get a zoom with IS. What would you suggest I try next? I need a general purpose lens because I like to do parody videos and a lot of time I am trying to copy another video style.

A. I use the 24mm to 70mm focal length a lot with the Canon brand, I have not seen that much of a difference between the Tamaron and the Canon, the Tamaron is about $450 and Canon is about $1,300. I use the Sigma brand 70mm to 200mm half the price as the Canon $800.

When you have a high contrast situation where you have black tux and a white dress how do you set up your exposure for the video?

At a wedding where you are running and gunning, how do you do white balance?

If you could pick your perfect venue for a wedding to shoot at where would it be and what time of day.

How many backup batteries do you carry on a wedding and where do you buy them?

When you are running and gunning at a wedding, how do you focus?

Also for those of you interested in listening to this on your iphone, this podcast now appears in itunes if you do a search for ‘Learning DSLR Video‘ you can find it now.
